‘the improvised life’  needs a tagline on its HomePage so newcomers who jump onto the site with no introduction can get the gist quickly, and find their way more easily. We’ve been mulling possibilities for a while now and ask for your help in figuring out which of the phrases below describes the site best. OR send us your ideas and words for the best way to convey what’s going on here, in a flash…It would be placed below the title, where the Manifesto is now…

…resourcefulness as a daily practice…

…inspire your own creative ideas…

We invite you to scroll back through the archives, or the selection below, as you mull ‘the improvised life’ and see if a great tagline comes to mind.

  1. I like “resourcefulness as a daily practice” …They both apply, but the other sounds a little more crafy than practical to me.

  2. Riffing on Living
    Puttering around in life’s garage
    Domestic Explorations
    Absorbing ideas – exploring variations

btw, a friend just delighted me with a copy of The Improvisational Cook

  3. These are really good. Thank you Pippin. I hope you like the book.

  4. Thanks for your vote! It’s amazing how difficult it is to say it in a few words…

  5. That actually was easy to come up with…ha

  6. I find your site very inspiring yet not too preachy. As a variation on “resourcefulness as a daily practice” perhaps “improvisation as an imaginative act (or practice).”

  7. Taglines are so…… conventional. Why not let people explore the blog until they figure out what the site is about? Perhaps the investigation/perusing/discovering is more in the spirit of the blog.

  8. an enthusiastic vote for Pippin’s : Riffing on Living

  9. the improvised life…a daily reminder to be…

  10. I stumbled upon this blog just now, and I love it! Thanks for taking this on.

    How about:

“Living life, one project at a time”

“Life, one project at a time”

“Living, one project at a time”

(I know, they are variations on a theme, so you can count this as one suggestion 🙂 )

    “Your app for life”

Again, great blog, and I am bookmarking this!

  11. …making the most of what we have…

may be trite, but as I’ve applied it to several of the posts, it fits in some sense with every one. It’s why I’m a subscriber

  12. how about:

making up, making do, making life

    or

    out-of-the-box thinking, in-the-moment living
