We’ve been looking for an excuse to post Koko’s Earth Control, a beautiful, dark 1928 cartoon by Max & Dave Fleischer about the end of the world, since we stumbled on it right after the recent apocalypse predicted by millionaire evangelist Harold Camping didn’t happen. We figured it was a moot point. But according to Yahoo News, Camping is now saying “that instead of the biblical Rapture in which the faithful would be swept up to the heavens, May 21 had instead been a ‘spiritual’ Judgment Day, which places the entire world under Christ’s judgment…The globe will be completely destroyed in five months.”
Camping gives the REVISED date as October 21st, 2011. Check out animator Max and Dave Fleisher’s trippy, anxious vision of the apocalypse.
