tai chi master balancing

David Saltman over at The Houdini File spotted this image on The Art of Kung Fu’ facebook with the comment:

Whenever you say “I can’t do it”, think of this photo.

All martial arts, including tai chi, are about practice…a lifetime of practice to gain mastery…

…And mastery of ANYTHING is about practice, perservering in the face of the mind’s ‘I can’t’, until it becomes…

I CAN.

We KNOW this to be the case with improvising because we’ve tested it on ourselves. The more you do it, the more you practice asking ‘what do I have that can help me solve this problem?’, the better you get at going from ‘can’t’ to CAN.
