This past week, after we accompanied a dear friend through a dire emergency in the hospital,  we witnessed the many ways that friends and strangers “lent a hand” with what seemed like an overwhelming amount to handle. Neighbors put groceries in our fridge, friends brought dinner to the hospital, some, like Maria Robledo, sent us images that shifted our, and our friend’s, view in an instant.

Others sent prayers and light. Some texted messages of concern with disclaimers: “No need to respond”.  Our friend Charlie Allenson came to the hospital to help with the curiously harrowing process of LEAVING, navigating the wheelchair, getting us a taxi…

Some Improvised Life readers send ideas for content and others,  —strangers —surprised us with over-the-top subscriptions just as we announced we wouldn’t be able to post much content in the coming days.
