So we were thrilled when mega home design site, Houzz, featured Laura’s renovation of her Harlem coop. The ‘before’ photos Laura show just how dramatic a transformation Laura’s budget reno was. She turned a dilapidated prewar apartment with very good bones…
Our favorite idea among MANY is Laura’s solution to the problem of “headboard”: she printed 30 black-and-white images she’d taken over several seasons from her log cabin in Montana:
It is a mountain called Emigrant Peak. I had photographed it in snow, lilac season, hail, bright summer sun and a double rainbow. It keeps me from getting too homesick.
The pictures are printed on computer paper and just nailed up there.
