When Things Fall Apart
Chodrun’s contemporary spiritual text is a wonderful opportunity for reflection in times of difficulty or confusion. This quotation hit hard, and sums up the tone of the volume very well:
We think that the point is to pass the test or overcome the problem, but the truth is that things don’t really get solved. They come together and they fall apart. Then they come together again and fall apart again. It’s just like that. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy.
A reminder that it is okay to disintegrate from time to time in order for heart and health to heal; to open up to chaos even if you cannot love it; to channel pain into personal growth…this is a good one to keep on hand for tough days, tough weeks, or tough months.
An indespensible guide.
