EB White quote I get up every morning

Dig this brilliance from E.B. White, author of the great Charlotte’s Web.  He starts his day plan with a Principle — “…change the world and have one hell of a good time” — instead of a schedule, and knocks all the day-planning strategies and productivity experts on their heads. Yay!

  1. Embracing life every day now
and find the joy in being

beyond that moment of seeing the Indian pomegranade seeds sprout or how the sky brightens at sunrise, with birdsong and peacefulness

maybe more towards a wild dance and more singing and smiling calmness amidst a turbulent crowd
vibrantly alive instead of merely existing

    sahana

  2. I am a great admirer of E. B. White and so feel compelled to correct this misquote. The actual quote, funnier and more elegant, is found in a 1969 interview written by Israel Shenker, “But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve (or save) the world and a desire to enjoy (or savor) the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.”

  3. MUCH BETTER, definitely more elegant. Thank you for the correction and the source. So much for passing things on, unchecked. My fault: moving too fast as usual.
