At Remodelista house tour  recently, we spotted this this wonderful detail in the Paris home/studio of architect Nicolas Soulier and artist Cécile Daladier: A table made of a custom molded slab of concrete on steel tubing base, with a charming Ikebana-inspired vase inset for Cécile’s flowers. Ingenious, unexpected and charming.

No doubt, a vase could be embedded in a table or worksurface made of other materials as well. It’s a design idea we’ll file in our heads for the next table iteration.

  1. Hi Sally! Thanks for the mention; excited to see their table featured here.

  2. You’re so welcome, Alexa. That post was a great find…the table just one of many great ideas.

  3. This table is so unique. I just got a Concrete Table from Mecox Gardens. I just love the furniture they have there, but the concrete was an easy choice. They are really pretty and they last forever. They are so easy to care for too.
