Matisse’s Mockup of the ‘Negress’ Inspires Our Own

Susan Dworski sent us this image with a link to the sublime site Photographs of Matisse, and these words:

I like this one, especially the huge scale of the paper African cutout. Great idea for insta-change in a tiny urban apt. Simple colored paper cuts and some removable spray glue or dabs of old fashioned rubber cement… bingo. Cost: next to nothing.
Then we came across this image of abstract paper cutouts on sheets of paper: another route using the same principle.
