When we’re looking to buy a fitness tracker, pair of headphones, a TV, or even a spatula, Consumer Reports and Amazon don’t always cut it. Our favorite resource these days is The Wirecutter, a site that seriously researches, vets and tests all sorts of essential items.
Recently we followed their lead (well, their companion site Sweethome) on the best bed pillow to buy and found that their top pick, The Premier Down-Like Personal Choice Density Pillow was highly rated as well as an incredible value. We loved that we could choose the firmness, easily finding a “just right pillow.
Even if you don’t agree with their pick, Wirecutter give you solid logic and considerations that helps to figure out what WILL work for you.
We’re using Wirecutter to suss all sorts of things we’ve had our eye on, from something as simple as The Best Razor…
to Air Purifiers to consider…
We’ve come to view The Wirecutter as an essential tool.
I totally agree — Wirecutter and The Sweethome are completely essential tools. When I replaced the bulbs in my apartment with LED bulbs, The Sweethome guided me to the Cree bulb, which I really like (25% electricity use + light that’s almost like incandescent). The list of other spot-on recommendations go on and on.
So, which fitness tracker did you choose?
I love the WireCutter. They provide such good detailed reviews. It helps in making decisions. I specially enjoyed their radar detector one. It has saved me from a few police tickets, I bet!
