We regularly go through periods of needing to retreat for a few hours or a day, just because…we’re tired, or a bit overwhelmed, or need to process something or just…rest. We chalk it up to our constitution, natural introversion, life. Although we know that EVERYONE goes through these spells, for one reason or another, barring just turning off all devices, there’s been no good way of communicating it.

We smiled when we saw Adam J.Kurtz‘s wonderful, true, necessary door knob sign, like the ones you hang outside your door in hotels. When Tina Roth Eisenberg of the great Swiss-Miss tweeted how wonderful Kurtz’s sign was, he made a downloadable pdf of it. (Now THAT is generous and sweet.) We’re fantasizing that Kurtz’s Leave Me Alone sign would make as a great “vacation message” for emails here or there….(especially during the holidays)
