(Video link here.) This short animation describes the incredibly useful “Weakness of Strength Theory”: the flip side of a person’s strengths in one context—the qualities you love or admire them for — are often irritating weaknesses in another. “Every virtue has an associated weakness”; one can’t exist without the other. And no one is ALL strengths and virtues; we are all a mix. Knowing this can help shift the way we view the failings, defects or downsides of people in our lives. Remembering that weaknesses are part of their gifts and strengths can help diffuse the charge when their behavior is challenging, and even help to understand them better.

The theory can work in the reverse to soften harsh self-judgments about what we perceive to be our weaknesses. Close examination often reveals “weaknesses” and “flaws” yield great gifts, rewards, talents, sensitivities, wisdom, abilities, blessings…

We find ourselves asking: What’s the weakness of the strength? What’s the strength behind the weakness?

  1. Good Morning, I dont know why I keep getting bounced out of Improvised Life saying that I have to become a member to read or see the video… If you could would you look into it? Thanks so much Cassandra Greene

  2. Hi Cassandra.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble accessing Improvised Life. Your account certainly IS up-to-date. You’ve been utterly generous.

I am wondering if you can describe the specific problem you are having AND
Did you get the detailed email I sent last month with instructions for fixes to try? (I’ve included them below)
Did you try them and they still don’t work.
Please let me know and I will try to figure out what is happening

It sounds like your page got “stuck” (which sometimes mysteriously, randomly happens) and needs refreshing.
Here are some fixes in order of magnitude:

—The simplest fix for this is to refresh the sign-in browser page several times. That clears the old information and lets Tinypass recognize the new subscription.

—Try clearing your browser’s cache, then refreshing several times.

    — If the problem continues, go into your browser’s Preferences and chose “enable 3rd party cookies” in order to stay logged in. This usually solves 99% of these types of issues.

—If you are STILL not able to log in from Improvised Life, try to log in through Piano/Tinypass.
    Go to dashboard.tinypass.com
Enter your login details (email and password). You can reset your password here too.
Once logged in: 1) click on the Improvised Life subscription image
    2) click on the “Open Launch your content in a new window”
    3) That’s it! You’re now logged in.

Please let me know that all is well, OR if you are still having trouble.
