We’re smitten with this chair by Pascal Anson: a wire frame with one thousand pieces of ribbon, rope and string that were individually tied it, creating upholstery and wondrous visuals. (And metaphorically, it is a reminder of the possibilities in the everyday, which we need right now).

… but rather, done in a quick looping action. (Video link here.)

With the usual simultaneity of life around here, about the time we stumbled on Anson’s chair, we found this table turned into a loom by artist Phoebe Washburn. Are those flowers we see woven into it?

It would be an astonishing table adornment for a dinner party….while it makes us realize that we can set up a loom in many unexpected places…(on a wall perhaps, using thumbtacks to secure the weft?)

Cardboard and string will do…
