Whenever we hit a period of illness or depletion, we think of this artwork our friend Thomas Ashcraft made many years ago, with its heartening reminder:

Tom’s sign comes to mind because it is itself a powerfully healing message.

It sparks us to be mindful when poisons get too heavy — our system’s overwhelmed by too much work, stress, toxins of various kinds. The first thing we do then is STOP, so we can really suss the message our body is telling us.

For us, the essential step of healing is rest and taking very good gentle care, while we listen for any other remedy that might be required. That’s what we’re going to do this week.

Cures arise. Remedies appear.

(Because they are near by and this is the way it has always been.)

It is the just the way things work: answers come, if you stop and listen.
