We only just discovered the great comedian Bill Hicks, almost 25 years after he performed this extroardinary commentary in London as part of his show Revelations. He passed away not long after. Like the greatest stand-up comics with whom he is equated, he nails just what is REALLY going on:
It’s a choice right now between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your door, buy guns and close yourself off. The eyes of love, instead, see all of us as one.
Here’s a wonderful further iteration of Hicks with the legendary George Carlin riffing on The Big Electron, set to music (with thanks to Elisa):
Yup.
Here it is in a musical version includes Bill Hicks and George Carlin it’s called The Big Electron https://youtu.be/cvz9uSK3zXo
Elisa, thanks so much. I’m going to add to the post as IT adds so much.
