One of the oldest breed of horses in the world is indigenous to the Camargue region of southern France, a wetland between the Mediterranean Sea and the Rhone delta. Many of the small, luminous gray horses remain wild to roam the harsh landscape freely and gallop through the surf.

View this video full screen to feel like you are galloping with them. It is pure poetry, inciting more poetry. We thought of the kid’s description we wrote about some time back:

A poem is an egg with a horse in it.

Then we opened the astonishing Collected Poems of W.S. Merwin to this:

I ride a great horse climbing
   out of a rose cloud
       onto a black cinder mountain

long ago and a horn is blowing
   and far ahead the light
       answers
