While at Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in Rhinebeck, New York recently, I revisited the remarkable sign that sits at the threshold of Omega’s serene Sanctuary, a quiet meditation space in the woods:

Kanaat is an attitude of appreciation towards all that one meets in life based on knowing that you have.

Humbleness, gratitude, and love are the three keys that unlock the door to Kanaat.

If you have Kanaat, one day you will also have the abundance of life.

 

In this expansive view, there is no need to name what we have, or worry that we don’t have; we have only to find our way to “knowing that we have.” Humbleness, gratitude and love are the paths to feeling something so extraordinary…
